USA Horse Floats Australia is operated by Carlo and Karen Visser, Vicki Simmons and Jamie Setches.
Carlo, Karen, Jamie and Vicki have been involved with horses for over 30 years and they live just out of the Gippsland town of Warragul in Victoria.
Carlo has been a professional horse breaker for many years as well as competing in the western arena in reining and cutting. Carlo uses only gentle, natural horsemanship methods to start young horses under saddle. If you would like to know more,
Karen is the show mum who washes, bands, brushes and prepares the family Quarterhorse, Dusty, for each show when Carlo and their children compete. Karen works in human resources at a leading bank and with Carlo has three children, two Labradoodle dogs and a cat.
Vicki has competed in the English disciplines, western reining and now cutting with her partner Jamie and works as a call taker/dispatcher on the 000 emergency line. With Jamie they have 4 dogs, a Balinese cat, two goats and 5 horses. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys drawing pastel portraits of horses. Visit a sample of her work
Jamie Setches has worked as an Equine Manipulative Therapist for over 30 years and competed in Polo, reining and now cutting. He has also had a strong interest in natural solutions to problems and over the years has built up a wealth of knowledge in the area of herbal and natural remedies. Along with his incredible diagnostic talents in the area of lameness, Jamie has saved many horses diagnosed with apparent incurable lameness. As you can see. The Team Titan have been involved in all facets of the equine industry, whether it be serious competition or part of their day to day job. Horses are not just their hobby but their life, and they understand the needs of horses and horse owners when it comes to transport. Karen and Vicki both use Titan Trailers and can advise any prospective female customer how easy they are to hitch up, handle and tow.
Carlo visited the USA Quarterhorse World Show and fell in love with the the style of horse trailer manufactured in the USA.
He came back excited by the the idea that they could bring out a top quality trailer of their own to Australia and maybe find a manufacturer who would be happy to have an Australian distributor.
Research was undertaken by Carlo, Jamie and the girls to find the perfect horse trailer. It had to be one that the business partners would be proud to own themselves.
Titan Trailers became the obvious choice due to their experience, workmanship, attention to detail and flawless reputation. The owners of Titan Trailers MFG are experienced horseman, who own, love and compete on their own horses.
Titan was contacted and after many months of correspondence and a visit to the Waterville factory, a deal was struck.

During October 2008 we were lucky enough to visit the Titan factory in Waterville, Kansas. What a trip! Dave, Linda and Dan Smerchek along with Bryan and other staff members from Titan not only showed us a great time but also showed us why we believe we have the strongest, toughest and best made trailers in Australia. The factory is phenomenal, with state of the art facilities and engineers who take pride in their work, right down to the last detail.
Everyone at Titan has a passion for the quality product they produce and great customer service.
While we were there we learned that Montana has the biggest Titan Dealership. Why? Because they have the worst roads and Titan trailers stand up to the rough and tumble that those Montana ranchers give them. We often hear other horse trailer manufacturers say their trailers are built to withstand harsh Australian conditions. The USA is no different to harsh conditions and many area's have bad roads and shocking weather. A strong steel horse trailer, like Titan, built in the USA to withstand harsh USA conditions will have no problem standing up to Australian conditions.
